Martina Zapf is the Senior IPAT Manager. In this capacity she shapes the overall IPAT strategy, manages its implementation, and oversees the operational aspects of the IPAT team and roster of (Senior) Associates. She also directly contributes to the delivery of selected IPAT projects, where she has relevant expertise and experience.
Martina has worked with Interpeace since 2012 in various roles, including Head of Programme Support (overseeing programming in the Middle East and Europe); Programme Officer (for Israel, Cyprus, as well as a three-country research and advocacy project at the intersection of humanitarian assistance and peacebuilding); and Special Assistant to the Director-General.
Prior to joining Interpeace, Martina worked for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Chad and Afghanistan, designing and managing community-level development programmes in fragile contexts as well as engaging with national and sub-national authorities.
She holds an MSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Liverpool, an MA in International Peace and Security from King’s College London, and a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
